Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted by a Böëna representative and transferred to the charming Grano de Oro Hotel in San José.
DAY 2
Magical Pacuare River
Meet your driver for a private transfer to the Pacuare River rafting launch. Journey through Cartago and past the lush farmlands of Irazu and Turrialba volcanoes. After a picnic breakfast or lunch, your rafting adventure begins. Navigate exiting Class II-III rapids as you paddle through one of the world’s most beautiful rivers, surrounded by emerald cliffs and silver waterfalls. Upon arrival at Pacuare Lodge, enjoy a contactless check-in before settling into your suite or villa. Your stay includes all meals, featuring regional flavors and organic produce. DAY 3-4
A Pacuare River Refuge
Explore over 840 acres of pristine rainforest at Pacuare Lodge, home to diverse wildlife and rich cultural traditions of the Cabecar Indigenous Community. Choose from guided experiences such as bird-watching, canopy tours, and hikes to hidden waterfalls. DAY 5
Pacuare Whitewater Wonderland – Osa Peninsula Refuge
After breakfast, embark on a thrilling whitewater rafting adventure through the narrowing canyons of the Pacuare River. Navigate Class III-IV rapids before reaching the take-out point near Siquirres. After changing into dry clothes, board a private plane for a scenic flight to the Osa Peninsula. Land in Puerto Jimenez and transfer to Lapa Rios Lodge, where the rainforest meets the sea. Lapa Rios Lodge – Choose Your Own Adventure
Lapa Rios Lodge protects a 1,000-acre private rainforest reserve, providing critical wildlife corridors. Guided by expert naturalists, explore the Pacific Coastal rainforest and the Golfo Dulce, one of the world’s four tropical fjords. Nearby Corcovado National Park offers opportunities to see tapirs, peccaries, and jaguars. Choose from a range of guided excursions, from waterfall hikes to wildlife spotting. DAY 8
Corcovado National Park
Explore and discover the famous Corcovado National Park, the crown jewel of Costa Rica’s protected areas. This full-day tour includes a private boat ride to Sirena Ranger Station, where you’ll hike through the park’s diverse ecosystems, searching for rare wildlife and learning about conservation efforts. Overnight at Lapa Rios Lodge.
DAY 9
Come Back Soon! Departure Day
Enjoy your final morning in the rainforest with a cup of coffee on your private terrace before breakfast. Transfer back to Puerto Jimenez for your charter flight to San José.
